Building a form

Sync forms are built entirely inside Sync's own drag-and-drop form builder — there's no "detect my existing form" step, because Sync doesn't hook into a form plugin already on your site. You build the form in Sync, then embed it.

1. Create the form

From Forms, click Add New, then drag fields onto the canvas: text, email, phone, number, date/time, textarea, select, checkboxes, radio buttons, a rating scale, a toggle, a range slider, file uploads, a signature field, and layout blocks (sections, columns, dividers, spacers, headings, paragraphs, images) for structuring the page.

2. Configure each field

Click a field to open its settings — label, placeholder, required/read-only, validation type, and (for choice fields) its options. This is also where you set up field mapping and fixed defaults for that field.

3. Embed it on your site

Open the form's Embed screen to get its embed key and a copy-paste snippet:

<script>
(function() {
  var s = document.createElement('script');
  s.src = 'https://sync.ottercontact.com/embed/formbridge.js';
  s.setAttribute('data-form-key', 'YOUR_EMBED_KEY');
  s.setAttribute('data-target', 'formbridge-form');
  document.head.appendChild(s);
})();
</script>
<div id="formbridge-form"></div>

Paste that into any page on your site — the form renders itself wherever the formbridge-form div sits. Submissions land under Forms → Submissions, and from there sync to your connected PSA/CRM.
